We love hosting the Abaco Forum, but the hard truth is that we have expenses, and that means we need advertising revenue. The more members, the more traffic, then the more likely business and cottage owners will advertise with us. So if you enjoy the Forum, help us out and register, visit often, and don't be shy about posting. If you're still a little hesitant, check out the Forum Introduction and Policies, it's a good place to start.
This site may be a little different from other message boards you visit, such as the AMB. We actually have six different forums; you can see them in the "Site Navigation" box above. Most activity occurs on the Main Discussion Forum. Issues that pertain to the Abaco Forum site per se go on the Board Policies Forum. The Rant is for your opinions, Abaco Sportsman covers boating, fishing, diving, and other outdoor activities, and Sapodilly's is a virtual café' where you can chat with friends about almost anything. You can click on each forum and browse through the content. Or, you can click on New Posts on top task bar, and you'll be directed to the posts that have appeared on all forums since your last visit.
If you are considering registering as a new member, please read this:
by January 2011 we were getting 50-100 attempted spam registrations per day; we now have to individually screen each new registrant. If it takes a few hours for you to be approved, please be patient, we'll get you registered. You may initially be denied registration because the system thinks you are a spammer. This usually happens when a new registrant selects an "odd" username, one with what appears to be random lower case letters. Please register with a sensible username, such as "Beach Lover." If you are denied registration, please contact us, we will figure out a way to get you registered. Please accept our apologies for this inconvenience.
